According to a Khmer Times article dated 14 January 2015, the National Bank of Cambodia has reportedly issued new 100 រៀល (riels) and 500 រៀល (riels) notes.
The orange and brown 100-riel note depicts the King Father as a young monk on the front, the Silver Palace on the back, and a Khmer statue as the watermark.

The pink and gray 500-riel note depicts King Sihamoni on the front, the Kizuna bridge on the back, and the Nak Loeung Bridge as the watermark. Both notes measure 138 x 64 mm.
