On 5 November 2014, Banco Central de Reserva del Perú introduced a new 10-nuevo sole note which is similar to the existing notes, but with a darker green color, pixelated airplane and electrotype 10 in watermark, color-changing denomination, and latent image of the denomination. Both new and old notes will circulate in parallel.
